Those that think that traveling is just a matter of getting from one place to the another tend to miss a very most important factor: how you show up for the journey. Almost a discipline of its own, the right fit can make or break plans to journey overseas; not only because of how you may look but also how comfortable you will be. Thankfully, adidas has us covered (literally), having just this week unveiled a new collection in collaboration with Saudia Airlines.
Dubbed Made to Fly, the new line reimagines the German athletic label’s Soft Lux range, recasting it as a travel uniform rather than just another off-duty staple. Comprised of tees, light jackets, abayas and bottoms, each piece nods back to the visual identity of the Kingdom’s national carrier, notably through a palette of color that pulls from its signature green and white; embedding a sense of place into an otherwise relatively universal wardrobe.

“This collaboration allowed us to reinterpret one of adidas’ most refined sportswear lines through the lens of travel, alongside a brand that has shaped the Kingdom’s travel culture for generations,” said Bilal Fares, SVP and GM, adidas EMC. “By bringing together Saudia’s connection to movement and adidas’ sportswear heritage, we created a collection that feels elevated, effortless and relevant to today’s consumer,” he added.
“Building on our 2023 rebrand, which marked a new chapter in our global journey, we are expanding our brand presence beyond aviation into culture and lifestyle. Our collaboration with adidas brings these elements together, transforming movement into a statement of modern Saudi ambition and capturing the confidence and creativity shaping the Kingdom today,” Khaled Tash, Chief Marketing Officer at Saudia Group, also said.
Made of peached spacer fabric with modal, enhanced by a liquid cotton treatment, the line feels soft to the touch, stays light on the body, and remains breathable throughout the day, making it easy to wear for long periods (think long hauls) without ever feeling too restricted or weighed down.
Made to Fly is now available at selected stores across Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Morocco.
