Maison Pyramide is Transforming Press Days Into a Lifeline for Local Brands

Here’s the truth: in times of despair, our people will show up for one another in ways no system or institution ever could. And the levels of solidarity seen across the Gulf since the US-Israel war on Iran started have made that claim clearer. From the very first day, local communities organized to provide support and relief to those most affected. But while things in the region have calmed down, temporarily at least, over the past few days, networks of mutual aid are still coordinating, including within fashion.

In response to the ongoing crisis, Egyptian PR agency Maison Pyramide is opening its next press day to independent UAE labels, providing them with a limited number of complimentary showcase spaces. According to the agency, this allows them to present their collections in the showroom, offering direct access to leading editors, stylists, and key industry voices. With the aim of stretching that same spirit of solidarity into the creative economy, the initiative positions visibility as a form of support, ensuring emerging brands remain present, connected, and in circulation despite all the uncertainty and already incurred losses brought on by the current climate.

Since the war broke out on Feb. 28, most industry events across the Gulf—those that typically serve as key touchpoints for media, brands, content creators, and homegrown labels—have either been canceled or postponed to later dates, effectively disrupting the rhythm of an ecosystem that relies heavily, if not solely, on these gatherings to generate visibility, secure opportunities, and sustain financial flow.

The result is not just a temporary slowdown but a broader standstill, one that places significant strain on a wide network of creatives whose income and exposure are closely tied to these moments. With a substantial portion of revenue and growth opportunities concentrated within these now-suspended formats, the future looks increasingly uncertain, which is precisely why initiatives like Maison Pyramide’s carry weight, offering a necessary intervention at a time when much of the industry is otherwise left without structure or support.

Applications to participate in Maison Pyramide’s upcoming press days are now open, with submissions set to close on May 1, 2026. Further details are available via the agency’s official website and social media channels.
