After joining the international Fashion Week circuit last year, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is reportedly already on its way to further solidifying its status as a global sartorial hub through the official launch of another runway event. According to circulating reports, the coastal city of Jeddah will now play host to its own yearly rendezvous by welcoming the very first edition of the Red Sea Fashion Week.
Scheduled to take place from May 16-18 at The St. Regis Red Sea Resort, this debut moment will aspire to mirror the same objectives set by its sister event in Riyadh, Riyadh Fashion Week, by placing local talent at the centre of the stage. From the limited information available, 100 Saudi brands will be expected to share their latest creations across various categories ranging from luxury fashion and jewelry yo ready-to-wear and resort wear. Additionally, it has also been reported that a slew of international brands will also be taking part, although specific names are yet to have been revealed.

While awaiting official confirmation, fashion enthusiasts can look forward to the sophomore edition of Riyadh Fashion Week. Having joined the ranks of other global fashion capitals like New York, Paris, Milan, and London in 2023, the next installment of RFW is slated to take place from Oct. 17-21 and is expected to bring the kingdom’s chicest threads and trends to light, proving once again that the Gulf State is indeed a buzzing fashion capital in the making.
