Comic Con Arabia 2024 is charging full steam ahead, returning to Saudi Arabia for its highly anticipated fifth edition. This comic-filled event will take place at the Jeddah International Exhibition & Convention Center on Nov. 28-29, running from 4 P.M. until the early hours of 2 A.M., unleashing a sensory overload of everything fandom.
This year’s Comic Con Arabia pays tribute to the entire spectrum of comic culture—from the dazzling world of anime and graphic novels to manga and video game lore. Fans can expect a dynamic lineup of exclusive talks, thought-provoking panel discussions, live performances, and a bustling marketplace of rare collectibles. What’s more, Hollywood’s finest will be making their way to Jeddah for intimate meet-and-greets, giving fans the chance to rub shoulders with stars. Last year saw Stephen Amell (Arrow’s Oliver Queen), Steven Ward, and Lexi Rabe creating buzz—who knows which screen legends will turn up this year?
Looking back at the 2022 edition, Stan Lee’s Supercon in Jeddah Superdrome made waves with appearances from Vikings star Clive Standen, Lexi Rabe from Avengers, Mehcad Brooks (Mortal Kombat’s Jax), and Zachary Levi (Shazam!). Riyadh Comic Con Arabia even saw Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones and Aquaman) gracing the event.

The country’s first-ever Comic Con was inaugurated in 2017 in Jeddah. It was held over three days as part of the Saudi Vision 2030 program. A hashtag denoting it as a “devil-worshipping” festival became popular on X (formerly known as Twitter), and there were calls for a boycott, however, the convention was popular, drawing in over 20,000 attendees.
For diehard fans, the Middle East Film Festival and Comic Con 2025 in Abu Dhabi should be firmly on your radar. This major cultural crossover, celebrating everything from comics to cinema and video games, will unfold at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition and Convention Centre from April 18 to 25, 2025.
